WATER JET CUTTING

Our Water jet uses a series of hydraulic pumps to generate a stream of water pressurized to 55,000 P.S.I. Garnet sand particles are fed into the water jet path.  The garnet sand is accelerated to about the speed of a rifle bullet.  Material hardness, thickness, and the final edge finish required determines the cutting feed rate.  The water jet does not care what type of material it is cutting.

An important advantage in water jet cutting is that little or no heat is generated, so the molecular state of the material is not changed.
